1. Digital Wallet System & Credits

Sfaira provides an integrated digital wallet system for transaction convenience. Users can top up their account balance to pay for match registrations directly. Wallet balances are closed-loop digital credits intended solely for purchasing services on the Sfaira platform. These balances are non-transferable to other users. Users maintain the right to request a payout of their unspent wallet balance to their original payment method within 14 days of purchase, in accordance with EU consumer withdrawal rights.

2. Payment Processing

All credit and debit card transactions (wallet deposits and direct match checkouts) are securely handled by our authorized third-party payment gateway, Stripe. Sfaira acts as the merchant of record but does not directly collect, process, or store raw credit card numbers or billing credentials on our servers.

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Pursuant to Article 16(l) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive (Directive 2011/83/EU), the standard 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to the provision of services related to leisure activities if the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance. Therefore, our refund policy operates as follows:

• Automated Refunds: Upon leaving a match prior to the organizer's specified lock-in period, the registration fee is instantly refunded directly to your Sfaira account wallet.
• Cancelled Matches: If a match is cancelled by its organizer or by Sfaira due to unforeseen circumstances, all registered participants will receive an immediate full refund to their digital wallet.

4. Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk

Football is a physical contact sport involving inherent risks of injury. By registering for and participating in games hosted via Sfaira, you acknowledge that your participation is voluntary.

• To the maximum extent permitted by applicable EU law, Sfaira, its founders, and game organizers accept no liability for minor physical injuries, property damages, or purely financial losses sustained during matches.
• Statutory Exception: Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes Sfaira's liability for death or personal injury resulting directly from Sfaira's gross negligence or willful misconduct, as required by EU law.
